It’s less than a week until I set off for my solo camping trip to Norway with Pinky the S1000RR. Here’s everything I’m taking! Let me know if you think I’ve forgotten anything important…

Probably in your make up bag but mirror, don't forget that. Make sure wet weather kit is super easily accessable. I always Bungie mine on top of tail pack.
I always take my spare key and conceal it in a safe place.
Give the bike a once over couple of days before you leave. Lights, tyre pressures, engine oil level. Don't want to be worrying about that at the last minute.
It's all going to work out well and your going to have a great time.👍👍

Sounds like a great trip. We just returned from a 8 day, 6600 KM trip half way across Canada and back. My wife and I do not camp, so Hampton Inn with odd Super8 thrown in. Wish I has extra fuel because we had a section of 2 1/2 hours of no services in Northern Ontario, watching a fuel light flash at you with GPS not showing any stations is nerve racking. Have a fun time, bike trips are always fun.

Among the paperwork i carried abroad was an E111 card. It's been replaced by a GHIC now i think. Hopefully it's like your new multi-tool...you'll carry it, but never need it. 🙏

Happy travels. 😎👍🏼

You packing up a well before, me sort my stuff and packed on the day I went down to Dove for a night ferry. MultiTool can't do without tools. I took a small axe believe it or not and used it to rivet a link on my chain.

Just been talking about going to norway. Have an amazing time. One thing to check is if you need a low emission sticker for places your visiting. Most of Europe has now adopted this. Easy and cheap to get.

With regards to the fuel/water maybe get a camel back or something, then you have a water tube to drink from and don't even have to get a bag out or get off the bike on a long journey, with loads of gear on you won't realise how much quicker you dehydrate. Also saves you mixing fuel/water in the same bag and maybe tasting fuel on the water bottle (maybe that opens up carrying 2 fuel bottles which is another 15-25miles or so on an S1000RR depending how you're riding!).

Im very jealous of this trip. Im going to do the exact same trip next year. Loading your bike up is weirdly one of the most exciting things also :D
Id like to go back to Andorra on a sports bike so very interested in how it goes for you on the S10000RR. Youre going to have an amazing trip. Oh the boat!! Something i didnt know is they give you like 30 mins to get out of the boat "garage". After that it is locked and you cant get back in there until its time to leave. Both good and bad! Make sure you have your backpack packed with everything you need for the next day. Wash stuffs, clothes etc. The bad part is if you forget something like a tooth brush or whatever you have to buy it again on the boat. The good part is you can leave stuff on your bike and it will be secure. Obviously you still want to take your passport, wallet, cams etc etc with you juuuust in case.

Ride safe, hope you have a great journey and make lots of amazing memories.

I've used pee bags while camping for years, nothing wakes you up more then having to get up, get dressed, shoes on, outside the tent to the nearest toilet (or bush for some blokes). Best camping hack ever.

Do you still need a high Vis vest for some European countries in case you have a breakdown/issue?
