This is the only depiction of Shaka I will ever believe, not that nonsense fed to us when we were kids. As a Xhosa, who didn’t know about Shaka Zulu, I believed everything they said about him and thought of him as a villain but this makes more sense than what I was taught.

It is very important for us Africans to not allow outsiders to tell our stories because most if the time, it’s never accurate!!!

The language is delicious, I tell you.Delicious. This could easily be on radio without the visuals. But they did the visuals and catapulted this drama into my favourite, even on its première episode. Also, the small screen is delicious without adverts. Thank you Telkom.
