A lot of really helpful info here. Especially on the warranty restrictions which begs me to mention something important not discussed in this excellent presentation:

I have been looking at a floor models but after asking many sales consultants about their warranties, it is the manager who ultimately decides if they will accept the product for service. The majority of the Authorized Stressless Retailers in my region (Boston-Metro) have poor reviews when it comes to accepting floor model purchases for repair. These are situations where if the chair was ordered new, it would still qualify for warranty work free-of-charge.

While you could save a few hundred dollars buying a floor model, you have to weigh this savings against the risk that if your dealer doesn’t accept your claim, the simplest repair on one of these chairs is going to cost several hundred dollars and if your chair has to go back to the factory, it will be months many before you see it again.

Hi Everyone, I will have had my Stressless chair for one year and it was purchased through the store in Roslyn, Georgia. They were FANTASTIC! It was a $5, 000 chair (we saved up) with Paloma grey leather. It is fully electrical (with a push of a button it reclines and has a foldable extendable leg rest). I LOVE this chair, my wife loves this chair and my ninety-year-old mother-in-law loves this chair. I would buy it again knowing everything I know now. Please, come take my money again.

Added comments on warranty information or misinformation. Based on your video, I discussed your warranty comments. The Mayfair recliner we bought was in stock and at full price, and included the accessory promotion. I had the store write on the receipt that the full Stressless warranty applies. The owner said if purchased at full price, Stressless honors the warranty. It is family owned, in business for 60 years and they carry Stickley, Hancock and Moore, etc. They also stated they are a premier Stressless retailer, whatever that means.

Is the owner correct in stating the Stressless warranty will apply?

We wound up adding the Mayfair recliner with ottoman. With the current promo, we selected the $ 495 elipse table. My wife wanted the table anyway. So that promo actually saved us $ 495.

Interesting information. My Mary loveseat was special ordered by another party, and came in with the wrong option. It was marked clearance at 1/3 off. We didn’t discuss the warranty. That means my credit card extended warranty is worthless. It is a stationary model so not much risk. I have previously purchased Stickley at the store. They took care of my issues quickly. Family owned for 60 years. Good reputation.

We just purchased the Mary stationary loveseat. My wife needs a footrest. We have been considering a Stressless ottoman vs the Stressless footstool that normally comes with the recliner. Ordering the footstool separately is expensive. About $ 1300 for the one that comes with the Mayfair. That’s about $ 300 more than the Stressless rectangular ottoman.

Another option is to buy the Mayfair recliner which includes the footrest. That would be about $ 1300 more than the footstool alone. We can move the footstool between the recliner and Loveseat. Please give me your thoughts.

Are the footstools sized to fit the chair? Eg, the small chair, like the Sunrise, would the footstool be small also vs the size for a larger model? I can see the measurements of the chair but not of the footstool. I wish they listed the width of it also. Thanks
