A battery activated tire press. sensor. Geeze. What a terrific idea!! The engineer who came up with this nonense should be fed to the sharks.

Is it not wonderful that you buy a car for several thousand dollars just so you have to spend more to turn off a total useless light that does nothing but annoy you

Yes, proper air pressure. Make sure your gauge is good. I was going nuts because my lights would not shut off on my Kia Forte. Come to find that my gauge was reading about 4 lbs to high. Used a different gauge and all is fine. lights went off about 50 yrds up the road.

The hardest battery replacement for any vehicle owner! Just to bleed you out of money if you take it to the dealer. They have to charge to : remove, sensor, install sensor, mount tire, balace and rotate. You could check TP on cars with a simple $5 tool.

Why on earth would anyone need these waste of money and time litter? People managed to drive their cars safely for decades without these silly sensors and now every car comes with these headache. Costs you more money. Pathetic really.

TPMS just seems like the worst thing ever for a typical car owner to have to deal with. Hardly anyone knows that each wheel has a "battery-operated" sensor in it! And replacing that battery...OMG. Now you have to pay the dealership to replace all the batteries and I'm sure that's not cheap. What ever happened pre-TPMS to where you simply walk around your car and look to see if they look a bit low and just put some air in them, then check the pressure? Common sense, I've done it for 50+ years, for cryin out loud.

Unnecessary pricey gimmick. Should be a delete option in vehicle settings.

I never needed to have censors before, I'll just put a peace of tape over it

I had 2 front tires replaced, then ABS/STABILITY light came on after wards. I bought the unit to reset/reconnect tps, and after following instructions, once completed all 4 tires, now pressure doesn't show on any of the tires

My method is the best and costs nothing! I just ignore it because I don’t need a sensor to tell me when my tires need air and I own an air compressor!

I had a problem with the batteries a few years ago. My batteries kept running down I didn't know why. I'm retired so I don't drive the truck that often and I had a slow leak in a couple of the tires. Every time I tried to start the truck after 4 or 5 days it wouldn't start. All along I thought it was the battery it wasn't. It was TPMS creating an open circuit and drained the battery after about 5 days or so. I took my truck to a local tire shop and had them Dismount the tires clean the rims and install new valve stems problem solved I hate those damn TPMS and wanted to disable it. I can check my tires when I feel the need or they look low. Don't need dead batteries all the time because of a TPMS creating an open circuit in my electrical system.

For a Hyundai/Kia, remove the instrument panel, disconnect the wire harness connected directly to the back of the tacho, find the TPMS wire (brown on Veloster) ground that wire and you'll bypass the TPMS module. Light goes out, happy days

I bought a brand new Mitsubishi and purchased winter tires from them with pressure sensors. My friend is a licensed mechanic and changed my tires in the fall. I assumed that by buying THEIR tires with the sensors, I would not have a problem. After he finished, I had the error message and the symbol on my dash display. I went to their service dept and was told it's a $25 charge for them to turn off the error, or I can pay $55 for them to change my tires and the error is taken care of. I'm pretty disappointed that after purchasing a new vehicle from them that they are going to nickle and dime me over every little thing. I found a video on YouTube on how to get rid of the error in the settings. I don't have access to get far enough in to turn it off. I asked the service dept to give me more access and they refused. So, I have this error, pissing me off, every time I drive the vehicle. The vehicle itself is beautiful, and a pleasure to drive, but make no mistake, I will NEVER buy another Mitsubishi! It's good service that sells the next vehicle. The service dept staff are wonderful, it's not their fault that they have rules to follow and I'm sure they have to deal with many irate customers because of it. I guess they are not interested in repeat business.
