How to Clean a K & N Air Filter on ALL CARS!

This tutorial will teach you how to use the K and N recharger kit to clean the K and N air filter installed on your car. The process does not take long at all and is being performed on my 2004 Mazda 3, 2.3L. The process is the same for all makes and models of cars. As for Mazdas specifically, this should be the same on all Mazda 3's from 2004 to 2009.

1. Remove the air filter
2. Spray with cleaner, and let sit for 10 minutes
3. Rinse with low-pressure water
3a. Repeat steps 2 -3 if filter is still not clean.
4. All the filter to dry completely and then apply the filter oil.
5. Allow this to sit for about 20 minutes before reinstalling in your vehicle.

Personally, I have come to love this K&N Filter, and it typically lasts up to 50,000 miles before ever needing to be cleaned. I clean mine every 30,000 miles so debris is not too heavy, but even then the filter does a phenomenal job.
