HOW TO DESCALE KEURIG K-SUPREME With Keurig Descaling Solution AUTO CLEAN MAKE CLEAN LIGHT GO OUT

I show you where the directions are on the bottle of solution and where the descaling solution goes. How long it takes and how much water to use. How to start the automatic cleaning cycle.
Keurig has changed the way you descale your coffee maker. You have to put the machine in descale mode and follow it all the way through to get the descale light to go out.
Step by step instructions see below. You have to follow them all the way through.
I hope this helps.
1. Put descale solution in the tank.
2. Leave the machine plugged in, then turn the power button off. Press and hold the 8oz and 12oz button for 3 seconds till the big k brew button starts flashing. This puts it into DESCALE MODE.
3. The big K button light is the only light on. The power button does not light up. Press the K button and it will run 12 oz through the machine. Keep pressing the k button till the add water light comes on.
4. Put fresh water in the reservoir and the add water light will go out and the K button will start flashing again.
5. Press the K button to start the machine again and this time it will be rinsing the machine at 12oz each time you press the button. Keep pressing the K button till the add water light comes on again.
6. Fill it with water again and it will come out of descale mode. Turn it on and the descale light should be out. Now you are ready to use it again!

Hey “Dad” (I’m a dad too😊) I watch this descale video every time it’s time for descaling our Keurig. Short memory 😞. I thought I’d share some information about the whole descaling process for others and maybe you as well. When I descaled for the first two times, my machine wouldn’t turn back on … dead. I had to watch other videos to see if anyone else experienced this same problem. I learned that it happens enough for others that of course there’s videos on YouTube about what to do. Taking the stainless steel shroud off the machine and locating this small circular thermostat. Taking a small type of point (paper clip) and pushing it into the center and resetting the tripped thermostat. I believe I might have figured out a process to avoid that thermostat from kicking “open” which causes the machine to “quit” working/ turning back on . I believe that if the flushing process if the water is run through one right after the other the machines thermostat gets overwhelmed and heats up hence kicking the thermostat open. I now wait a couple 2-3 minutes in between pushing the “K” button to run the next 12 ounces of water until the machine says add water and then you’re done after the last of the water and descale light goes out. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the simple and clear instructions! I have descaled plenty of K-cup coffee machines and I found that the Keurig K-Supreme is more prone to overheating. And when this happens, the machine will not power on. It will then need to be reset by taking the machine apart and pressing the reset button inside the machine. It happened to me the 2nd time I descaled my Keurig. So now, instead of just about 30 minutes of the descaling process, it takes me a little more than an hour as I wait a few more minutes to cool down the heating element before running the machine through the decaling process. Thanks again!

Tip: Don't rush this process. Give your Keurig's heat element a chance to cool down a little in between flush cycles. If you go too fast you can trip the thermal cutout inside and you'll need to take your machine apart to reset the thermal cutout. The cover is not easy to get off and even more challenging to get it back together and fit right after you reset the thermal cutout. I recommend waiting 15 seconds in between flush cycles.

I descaled my Keurig K Supreme and it went dead, so I searched for a fix and found your video on how to open up the K-Supreme and reset the thermostat with a paperclip. It worked, thank you very much!
I like the K-Supreme model because of the 5 needles in the head and it makes the coffee hotter than the older models (I had one) Didn’t scuff up or break the tabs at all..

Thank you so much! I didn’t have the manual and tried descaling with the instructions on the bottle. It didn’t say how to put the machine in the descaling mode so I just ran it through and the light was still flashing when I finished. This is the best video on how to do this. I followed your instructions and after 2 cycles of water my descale shut off. I have to admit I was discouraged but your outlined this perfectly. I only used 1 bottle of the Keurig Descale Solution (purchased at Target $12) and now my machine is working great!

I did the same thing as others mentioned - 3 months after suffering the same difficulty trying to get this done. I followed the directions on the bottle Exactly, twice (!!!) with no success. I then went back to this video that I remembered watching before. The DAD Video added two vital steps that are not mentioned on the bottle label. I followed Dad’s and SUCCESS the first time. Can’t believe that the label could be so wrong and thankful that I found my way back to Dad to get this done.
