great lesson mate, getting closer to fully understanding the alt scale with this. The position you use relative to the straight 7th chord makes a lot of sense. Subbed.

Great lesson. It's often (at least for me, anyway) to encode altered lines into guitar and bass fingering applications -- the mind tries to reconfigure the new tensions into the old pentatonic and dorian slash blues lines. You have to retrain your mind -- fingering follows -- and not without a fight.

Sorry to do this but the last three bars of your transcription are wrong! The notes should be G F E F A C E G F E Eb B Bb Ab G F E C...which means what you had in the red box is not actually the altered scale (but it's close to it)
