As of 2023, this method will upload your 360 photo but Google Maps will display it in 2D, not as a sphere.

I miss being able to add my own 360 photos with the geo-location. Google really messed up by removing Google Street View, it was ahead of its time. 

Now with VR, we need the capability to add 360 photos anywhere in the world with the geo tag in the photo to the exact location that the photo was taken. Google messed that up...

Now the geotags aren't based on the photo location, it's based on where the user posted the photo. So if I take a photo around a lake, google makes me post the photo where the lake is tagged in the maps. Everyone's photos end up in the same cluster. This messes up the location in which the photo was taken, it should tag the exact coordinates. Amazingly, google hasn't realized the repercussions of this...

absolutely USELESS. We want to learn how to install an INTERACTIVE 360. Does this do that? We dont know because he doesnt show us the photo after it gets uploaded. I DO NOT think it uploaded as a sphere, AT ALL. SO ANNOYING. Waste of my time.
