When I was 13 and applying to high schools I asked about the availability of Hawaiian as a language class because I was so obsessed then. My principle told me that is was not a real language so it was not available in any of the schools. I was so upset. Here I am 30 years later finally starting my journey to learn a language I always thought was so beautiful. I’m am grateful for resources like this channel where I am able to learn even though I am thousands of miles away from Hawaii.
