We have the Yamaha XT600e with a broken starter motor. We want to replace the motor without removing the exhaust pipe. Is it possible for an amateur to do this job on the model 2000 XT600?

In a previous video, we removed the starter motor. Now it is rebuilt and we go to replace it. We could not find any video on how to do that so we make one ourselves. Just as we do like to do things ourselves

Thank you for watching, see you later!

Hello Jacquess, when i hit the start button, i get one, single click. Im trying to test the starter relay, but when you rennovated your starter motor, did you get one, single click or many as long as you closed the starter circuit?

It ist Not necessary to remove the gear. You can remove the startermotor without.

My spark is weak and bike wont start. The starter motor cranks but maybe too slowly to generate enough electricity to make enough sparks. I have replaced TCI and coil, plug and cap and now think my starter may be the problem.
