Why New Jeans Shouldn't Mess With Music Nerds

British jazz funk band Shakatak wants New Jeans to pay up for ripping off their 1982 song 'Easier Said Than Done' to create the 2024 comeback single 'Bubble Gum'. Forget about all the claims of legitimate 'sampling'. Shakatak's parent company, Wise Music Group, says 'Bubble Gum' is nowhere to be found on any official registrations of sample licensing.

Most recent news is that MHJ worshippers bashed them so much and somehow got a hold of shakatak's chat thread between their lawyer (but i dunno if this chat is legit and how they got it) and the toxic fandom is currently using this to counter attack to discredit shakatak's reputation.
