Checking out this 2015 ford edge 2.0 ecoboost with a p1016 wastegate control pressure higher than expected with low power. Found cracked plastic vacuum line to wastegate solenoid cracked, installed a rubber hose for testing and no issues returned.

2017 EDGE w EcoBoost. Same issue w P1016 and no power up hills. Thank you for helping us! Same crack, same spot as you. Our niece and her Family are on a road trip so we McGuyvered it with some tight wraps of good electrical tape and four tiny cable ties. Vacuum tube fixed good enuf and they got to Seattle without issue re-surfacing, thanks to YOU! Will get new part there and fix it properly. THANK YOU, SIR!!🫡

yep. P0299 on my 2017 ford escape se 2.0L. Same exact hose, same crack, same fix. can't find the hose anywhere but luckily I have polytube that I use for building controls

I have the same crack. How are to connecting new hose to the existing one? Is it larger diameter? If so, how are you connecting it to the sensor?

I had to swap out my battery and then had acceleration issues. Threw this code. Found the same hose in the same spot cracked off. 2017 Lincoln MKC - careful taking the battery out!
