785-795ish No Belt Deadlift, Tom Bell 545 Raw Deadlift

Decided against the 500x25 attempt today and went up to an easy 675 pull with no straps, then jumped to my top single of 785-795. Had to use chains since no more room on the bar. Might try 805-815 next time.

Rounded back for Mr. Bell. Props for the lift, that is a ton of weight. Turns my stomach to watch a rounded spine though.

pete, what do you do for deadlift warm up exercises? you're very explosive and it's impressive you haven't gotten some sort of injury lol

recommend any mobility exercises besides the standards?

Hey Pete, since some of the research I have looked at says that wearing a belt doesn't seem to be a crutch, that it merely helps increase intra abdominal pressure as well as actually some leg activation as well, could you please give me some insight as to the reason you and many other top level lifters seem to spend a lot of time in training without a belt? What is the theory behind the decision?  Just forcing yourself to keep a strong core so that once you belt up its even better? Thanks in advance.

lmao, 3 months ago I decided not to do a deadlift (ye I know, such a bad loser I am) but I just can't hold myself watching this beast pulled just short off 800 at 240. ridiculous.
