Proto-Tron looks like a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica drawn in the style of Leiji Matsumoto.

A prime example of doing too much. Just morphing into the logo would have been just fine. Animating some Star Wars ripoff things and a muscleman throwing discs is overkill.
