Classic Nostalgic Pokemon Osts (Gen 1-3), making you feel older than you already are.

This playlist is for ma really oldheads out here, I definitly enjoy those tunes, but I dont feel too nostalgic about these, cause their out of my time. By replaying most of those games tho, I feel kind of a connection to at least some of them, like nationalpark (absolute classic) or route 1 (very nostalgic overall). Im also trying out some new thumbnail type stuff, so its not a lame fond like in my previous videos (ofc it has its uniqueness)
I wanted to cover gen 1-3 in this list, because I did not feature any of them in my previous videos and some wished for that, fully understandable. Thats why this video is all about the really old stuff.
Sry, but this time I wasnt able to find a fitting gif, which is copyright free and pixel-wise big enough, but I think the shrine triggers some big nostalgic feelings inside youre memories.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS PLAYLIST!!! Im 30yrs old and so I grew up with Gens 1-3. I still remember having a PHYSICAL Pokédex and knowing all of the 150 Pokémon Dex number by heart 😂. There’s something seriously special to me about the old 8-bit soundtracks, their simple feel, and how they tug at my heartstrings as they take me down memory lane to a time when things were simpler. THANK YOU! So many of the playlists I see of "nostalgic Pokémon music to remind you of your childhood and make you feel old" are entirely comprised of gen 5 onwards. one or two songs from gens 1-3, maybeeee some gen 4. Nothing against gen 5 and onwards, but that wasn't my childhood. Blue Version was my very first video game ever, Silver was my sister’s, and we got them as Christmas presents when gen 2 came out. I played the living daylights out of gens 1-4. Never got a 3DS, never could play gens 5-7, and have zero emotional attachment to them. And obviously I don't want to go off in the comments on those videos and be like "you can't call this nostalgic childhood Pokémon music because this isn't my childhood Pokémon! Get off my lawn!" It is others' childhood, and I love that for them. But THIS is what I'm looking for when I want nostalgic Pokémon music to bring me back to the days when the coolest thing in the world was my big sister teaching me that the game wasn't like the show in that you had to catch Pokémon before knocking them out and all kinds of other things that a 5 year old probably should have figured out but didn't because she was a silly goose.

What a great nostalgic mix! I started with Yellow when I was a kid but the music that hits me with nostalgia the most is from Gold/Silver. I vividly remember my excitement when my friend called me to tell me he heard they were making new Pokémon games called Gold and Silver and told me the starters’ names. Such a happy and simpler time back then. Thanks for this source of pure nostalgia. ✌️

Pokémon Gold was the first video game I owned as a kid. I have played *every* Pokémon game since. I still have my gen 3 starter (Sceptile) in Home lol.

Thanks so much for this!! I'm a weird case in that I grew up with Gens 1-5 as my childhood. Blue and Silver were my first games given as hand-me-downs by my cousin who wasn't into Pokemon anymore, and from there I played LeafGreen, Emerald, Platinum, White, and White 2 over my years as a young kid all the way through middle school. XY came out in my junior year in high school. So I feel nostalgic toward a wide range of the series. Heck, now that it's been so long already, I'm starting to feel nostalgic for Gens 6 and 7. Time really flies...

Quick correction, though! 4:11 isn't Pacifidlog Town, it's Ever Grande City.

i've been trying to un-learn my aversion to the word "nostalgia." so many people use it derisively, particularly fans of newer pokemon stuff - "you only like [older game/pokemon/whatever] because of *nostalgia, * if you take off the rose-tinted glasses you'll see that MY favorite is objectively better"

and while that's reductive, dismissive, and generally just outright false, it's gotten in my head and convinced me that nostalgia was something to be ashamed of. let me have my fond memories, you vulture hatchlings!
