From what i hear from my military frens, usually immediately after the grilling, the DS or DI or whatever then shows them how to do the things. Heard from this one youtuber that a guy had to teach one of his soldiers how to shave because he'd never done it before. Their job is to break you, but its also to make you better. Guaranteed that these hypothetical recruits go home knowing all the ins and outs of doing their own laundry thanks to Mr. Hat

From what my brother says even the little laugh from the Sargeant is pretty accurate. One of my favorite storys is when they were doing outside drill in a field and there was a ton of bees and the Sargeant at the time was like "Do not swat at the bees, the bees are here to test your military bearings, your goofy ass is just gonna piss em off".😂 Might not be an exact quote but it always makes me giggle.😅
