ROG Ally 16GB, LPDDR5 Ram. ROG Ally X 24GB, LPDDR5X Ram. Better Sticks, ergonomics, moved the MicroSD slot. I agree it wont perform much different but it will be better in the long run as time goes on. "Future proofing".

I couldn't justify buying an Ally X, screen protector, case, and a 2 year warranty for over $1100 when i could get all that with a open box excellent condition Z1E plus a 2TB 2230 nvme for $860 and some change. The price difference was too big for my liking for the upgrades it has.

nicer looking expensive updated pc case or similar looking cheaper pc with less ram. BUT same gpu and cpu for a lot less. which one wud u pick hmmm.

Im debating between the ROG Ally and Legion Go but now im thinking Ally X vs Legion Go

I can't decide between this the legion go. What I do know is that the legion go's screen is nice but if you try to play at that resolution it runs like ass. It's. A nice feature but it's not powerful enough to justify it. You end up playing in the steamdeck resolution anyway.

For anyone here whos debating just get the legion go you will get a bigger screen and high resolution the ally is small and like he said the sd slot is always failing

1 hour max playtime on the old Ally is IMO unacceptable as this is supposed to be a PORTABLE handheld device and you should not carry a huge Anker powerbank with you...

Never buy an inferior outdated product. Always go top of the Especially in tech. Either get the Ally X or get something else. My wife likes to buy old stuff. I don't get it.
