In India 250million ppl lift out of poverty in 2018 According to UN report. .. that statue is not a lose in future libraries, University, companies & health institutes are going to build in that area so building a statue is first step to attract audience and thair is a water reservoir & river near that by this torissem will incrice even more in that New highways are built near that connecting many villages this all included in 400million dollers ... Its really funny...the amount of stupidity the lady anchor displays..India is the world's 7th largest economy, soon to be the 5th largest! $400 million is nothing for a country of this economic size!! But then, Americans want to live in their secure world thinking of India as a land of only poor people! People who are content thinking that all Indians live in slums, and some of them become millionaires! (hence, the American obsession with the film 'slumdog millionaire'). Instead of being happy with another country's achievement, they look at it with disbelief, denial and sarcasm. You do not respect another country's achievements, that makes you really small minded..and why not, when India successfully completed the Mars Orbiter Mission, these same US media people looked at India's super achievement with sarcasm, surprise and suspicion! They forget that India's ISRO has sent several of their own satellites in space in recent times! That's because we Indians have the capability, talent and skills, hardwork and the resources required to pull off such spectacular feats in a cost-effective manner. They can never dream of achieving such feats, 'cause India is one of the oldest, greatest and strongest countries the world has ever seen and will see again and again. I think the US media has enough to worry about poverty in their own country, in their own cities, in their own ghettos, and last but not the least, in their own capital - Washington, DC, where panhandlers can be seen begging on street intersections near the World Bank, IMF and even the White House!!
