Joey with Matt Le Blanc. Unlike Frasier and Cheers spin offs from massive sitcoms are generally terrible.

Also, anyone see perhaps the most controversial episode of The Jerry Springer Show called "I married my horse"? It included a man who had carnal relations with his pony and a two others who has similar relationships with thier dogs. On the show even Springer said "I think l'm gonna throw up"!

There's a heck of a lot of crap about.

But one genre that really grinds my gears are game/quiz shows where the contestants don't take home, what they "won" if they don't make the finale.

Tipping Point being a case in point along with a good few others. That ropey daytime one on ITV, name escapes, is another.

6:32 yes and I'm one of them. And how dare they compare it to Father Ted which is just brilliant!

That last scene in Lee Evans show confused me. Lee sounded just like Michael Crawford in some mothers do 'ave 'em

Seeing Chances got more ridiculous as it went towards its end. One can only hope that Doctors on BBC1 will go from currently a bit mad to bat sh*t crazy. Fingers crossed for it all being a Christopher Timothy fever dream.

Similar to Jerry Springer, and in fact the pioneer of the “trash talk show” was self-proclaimed “loudmouth” radio talk DJ Morton Downey Jr., and his 1987-1989 late-night tv talk show “The Morton Downey Jr. Show” set the stage (and a very low bar) for all the trash to come.

The Jerry Springer Show was tacky, trashy and lowbrow. However, Springer himself at least admitted this and never pretended his shows any form of high art or intellectual achievement.

Mrs browns boys is the worst UK/Irish comedy ever made so bad

What's with the 80s-style porno music? I miss your original analog synth/drum machine theme music.

The continued popularity of Mrs Brown's Boys will never cease to amaze me. It's like an episode of Bottom with all the funny taken out, for an audience that found Bottom too crude... but somehow it manages to be even cruder and the audience laps it up ; the constant asides to the audience in a "look how funny we are" kind of way with dollops of cheap sentimentality makes it even more tough to take.

3:28 It's too bad that "So What Now?" wasn't better. It sounds like a British version of "The Odd Couple", and I know that both Lee Evans and Steven O'Donnell can be very funny.

I was once recommended Mrs Browns Boys. The person went on and on about how hysterically funny it was. How it was “The funniest thing I’ve seen in years”. I watched about 10 mins of an episode..in abject horror. It was like it was discovered in a vault that was sealed in 1973 and dusted off for broadcast. Needless to say my opinion of the person who recommended it fell off a cliff. I never spoke to them again. 😂

The biggest thing with "Hello Larry" is that McLean Stevenson left "MASH" to do it and because his character was killed off, he couldn't then go back. Oops!

Chances? Murder? sex? man eating plants? God? Neo nazis? Alien abduction? Sounds like a normal episode of Eastenders.
I actually enjoyed Mrs Brown's Boys until I learned more about O'Carrolls connection to the IRA and his and his families tax dodging. I haven't watched his show for three years now. Funnily enough there are as many MBB second hand dvds for sale in CEX as there are Star Wars. Obviously other people realise they are both shite.

I had to skips the Mrs Browns Boys part, it just confuses my body and my mouth wants to shit and my arse wants to throw up. It's everything that is wrong with British comedy.

I had an acquaintance who was on ‘Jerry Springer’ in ‘99. She said 90% of what happened was ultra exaggerated and scripted. She and her fiancé were on the show. Producers portrayed them as an estranged couple when in reality, they actually were best friends while growing up. She and him reconnected after college and love bloomed where previously it was only platonic. So they were paid a few hundred bucks each to appear on the show and used that money to go towards their eventual honeymoon.

Lee Evans has done so much stuff that I’ve forgotten about over the years. I saw him in a movie with Jackie Chan a few months ago 😮

100% agree with you about Mrs. Browns boys.. Reads to me like Will Hays crossed with a bad panto.. Utter carp ! ( my mom loves it, clear sign of dementia ).
