NC father hoping for a miracle this Christmas following ALS diagnosis

A Charlotte area family is hoping for a miracle this Christmas after a devastating diagnosis for a young father of three.

But the family says they may be shut out from their best hope for help because of a cruel twist of fate.

In November 2021, Amber and Derek Ingram brought home their youngest, baby Elle, to meet her older sister Kate and brother Beau. Elle was just three days old when the couple had to visit the hospital again for a very different reason.

“It was earth-shattering, a day we never want to relive," Amber remembers. "Our youngest was three days old so we took our newborn baby in tow to get literally the worst news we could be given.”

My brother left ALS behind on 6/2/2004 after a 2 year battle. It was a privilege to care for my best friend/big bro during that time, but I'm so glad his struggles are over. The thing I miss most is everything.
Bless you.❤️❤️

This is so sad for this young man & his family. Back in 2014 the ice bucket challenge happened. And they practically raised a 100 million towards a cure for ALS. All of that money raised & unfortunately still no cure.. My sincere thoughts & prayers for this young man & his family. Keep fighting sir, & definitely don’t give up💐

I can’t differentiate where I have become numb or truly devastated. My father was diagnosed with Bulbar onset ALS in January 2024.

am not sure the wife will read this ... your thinking is correct namely keep moving forward and do not quit ... there is always a chance that some novel drug used during clinical treatment will positively react to his situation ... your story and others' stories involving als should shake up all of humanity ... head up always ... ALWAYS
