Dream of a Ridiculous Man: F. Dostoyevsky

During my years at CCNY, I was required to read a variety of material from the "greats" of western literature. One assignment was "Notes from the Underground." In the same book, I found this lesser known work: "The Dream of a Ridiculous Man." In my 20s, I found the romantic gloom of Dostoyevsky compelling and particularly enjoyed the way that this story raised a simple Christian solution as the answer to all that ails the world. In fact, in spite of the rise of Satanic morality that has been promoted by the left, I believe that the main idea here can still resonate with many as it did with me about 25 years ago. I hope you enjoy it. May we all learn to treat others with love and compassion - to love our neighbors as ourselves.
