Love your recaps but im sick of this english-esque openings. The day you start playing real openings, im sure thats the day you will actively fight for your GM Title.

Me sees *oh no my Queen* title: "Ah, Rosen must've uploaded again"

Me sees that it's GothamChess: "oh no, his Queen...."

My favorite part of this round:
Levy: He cannot castle.
Stockfish: He can castle.

Seeing you analyse your own games in over the board tournaments is, without doubt, my favorite part of your channel.

I'm new to chess but I wont miss a GothamChess recap. These videos are weirdly addictive. Go get them Ws Levy in chess and content creation 🙏

I actually know the story of an IM who started playing much better when he stopped looking at his opponents ratings pre-game.

I just have to say your mentality seems better every tournament, if it's something you're actively focusing on you're certainly improving at it

Actually pretty insightful hearing how to not play rooks vs queen. I often just trade either the rook pair or the queen when the position seems to favor it in my mind. Material is about the same, but they play very differently. I probably prefer the queen though.

These recaps are fantastic. It's such a joy to see a chess master walk through his thought process of an entire game with such genuity. It's easy to see why Levy has become the largest chess channel on Youtube and deservedly so.

I had to go to bed before I could see the end of the game having watched the previous one on the edge of my sofa. Congrats on this win. Super recap, as usual, thanks for taking the time to keep us all in the loop. Coffee and toast + pear jam.

17:00 Very interesting you said that cause I recently saw a Chest Vibes video where he emphasizes the same thing. I believe it was when to attack and to defend and the main advice is "calculate cause a general idea of "my king is weak" doesn't do anything. You need to know the exact moves that are a threat so you can evaluate what to do"

I don't watch much of your content, but the game recaps are something I cannot miss. I play tournaments relatively often, and I've been trying to tone down on the emotional investment that I have in the game - you capture that side of things honestly, and that's fun to watch. Also, I haven't had breakfast yet - I'm thinking greek yogurt with strawberries and granola. Maybe a waffle too.

Edurance, good time management, and out-calculation in a critical moment. That is GM chess

What I love about your play in this tournament is that you are actively addressing issues you've had in the past. I completely acknowledge that I'm not an expert (in anything), but this seems like a great strategy for improvement. I would expect some hiccups and steps backwards in the short-term, but that this will improve your playing over the long-term.

Regardless of any outcome, it's all great viewing and entertainment. Best of luck with the rest of the tournament!
