Note that amongst the demigods, Mohg is also missing his left eye. And as others have noted, Ranni's true form is the spirit that is missing a left eye (which is where she overlaps with her mirror-image doll, on its missing right eye).

I think the missing left eye in some way represents sinning against the Erdtree / Greater Will. Those children of Marika/Radagon who turned their back on the Erdtree. Whether that's an in-world thing, or literary symbolism, I'm still not sure.

It wouldn't surprise me if both of Miquella's eyes are closed and he's gained/gain some new power in the DLC

grace is most likely a illusion that is only in the eye, possibly even erdtree is only illusion too, that is why most enemies have lil bits of gold and their eyes.

It makes a lot of sense that the middle eye would be sleep. The right is life and the erdtree while the left is night/moon and death. So, the eye between them(middle eye) would between life and death, therefore sleep. This was a really interesting video, good job!

we get the eye seal items of Merica and Radagon and in their final shattered forms they both seem to be missing an eye too, not to mention Garrang and the purple viby eye that reacts to death root - he seems to be missing an eye as well. We never get to properly see Malenia's eyes - by the time we meet her they'r both gone-ish with rot but she could've been missing one, We never see Miquella - cound be missing one too, Radan seems to be ok though...

Great job. All your videos are very insightful. It’s like we all missed a few tiny details, things we all overlooked. You’re answering questions we didn’t even know we had

The soreseals and scareseals also seem to be the eyes of Radagon and Marika

Ranni's true eye is the spirit one, so she also has a closed left eye

I'm surprised you did not mention the watchdog's greatsword. It's text reads:

"Though decorated with the watchman's eye, the pupil was taken by graverobbers and is now hollow, leaving this sword a mere lump of stone."

The watchman 100% makes me think of Gideon. The eye on the sword also looks very similar to the one on his armor. Also, that could implicate Gideon as the maker of the watchdogs, imps and possibly the stone golems. The golems even look a little like Gideon.

Lastly I'm also surprised you did not mention the scarabs. I think one even has an mark of an eye on it that looks vaguely like the eye of Horus/Ra. Also scarabs are supposed to push the sub in Egyptian myth, if I'm not mistaken. So the scarabs are a little on the nose if you're correct about the Egyptian influences overall.

To Gideon: At 10:10 and 10:15 Gideon's armor even has these eye-shaped curves which further symbolize his craving of knowledge and observation

One thing i want mentioned about this topic is the status effect
They usually come in pairs (with exception of death blight) painting them in somewhat of relationship
Like the poison and rot, bleed and freeze, frenzy and sleep,
They pair share icon when you are being effected by it for example the bleed and freeze icon is a wound, bleed depicte the wound with blood while the freeze depict wound being frozen
For the frenzy it depicts eyes being open while sleep depicting the eyes being closed

This is a super cool super theory, but Melina isn’t the only one who can burn the erdtree, as we learn in the game every Maiden serves as kindling for burning the erdtree, so maybe Mesmer can’t burn the erdtree himself either

Thank you, not enough people are looking for Elden Ring connections in Egyptian and Levantine mythology.
