Ans-1 India is habitat of 7% of world species including flora and fauna. Birds are the beautiful creatures of nature that add beauty to environment, a vertebrate having feather and wings.
India witnesse influx of migratory bird every year in some prominent places like famous chilka lake in odisha and sambhar lake in rajasthan etc where migratory bird like flamingo etc come from region of Siberia, central asia etc.
Earlier birds are considered common but now they are disappearing rapidly.
Eg : Gauraiya bird is dispersed from UP region .

It become important to prioritise the protection of bird and policy must be taken to conserve their habitat . Some of the step that we take in order to protect them.
1- Protect the region where migratory bird came by keeping check on salinity of water, reduce pollution and toxic from that area.
2- Bird censes carried out on regular basis by government involving local citizen.
3- Avoid conflict between alien and endemic species by providing safe environment.
4- Promote afforestration.
5- Reduce GHGs because bird get migrated because of high. temperature.

Q. Decriminalisation of politics is a must goal. The SC, however should avoid getting into internal functioning of political parties. Critically analyse.
Ans. Decriminalisation of politics refers to removing of candidates from who has criminal records of heinous type such as murder, rape etc from getting into elected.
In the representative democracy like India political parties and the political leaders are the representatives of citizens expectations and are the ideal for citizens. But it is seen that most of the political parties have candidates with criminal background.
One of the important reason of corruption and ineffective governance is the candiadates being elected who have criminal background. People become discourged in exercising their voting rights and loss faith in democracy due to these sort of reasons.
Hence the political party must filed clean candidates in order to uphold the dignity of democracy and keeping people's faith in democracy .
SC can play an important role in this regards. SC has urged parliament to make laws regarding decriminalisation of politics.
Recently five Judge Bench headed by Dipak Misra has ordered all candidates to put in bold lattes his/her criminal antecedents. Political parties have been told to make adequate disclosure about their candidates.
Thus SC can take initiative in decriminalisation of politics without getting into the internal functioning of political parties as the political parties have their own ideology, propagendas. But decriminalisation of politics is a should be the goal of the political parties.

those candidates who get less vote than NOTA if not allowed to contest next election would result in less emergence of new political face. leaders during his initial career gets very less vote since he has not much resources as compared to powerful contestants.Also if he is not from any recognised political party people will not vote for him. Thus this will hamper emergence of new good leaders who contest independently.

Q. India must prioritise the protection of it's birds. Birds considered common are now disappearing rapidly. Policy must look at ways to conserve their native habitates.
Ans: There are many birds which are considered as common in India. But these birds are now disappearing. For example Sirkeer Malkoha, large Cuchooshrike both common birds are now vanishing rapidly.
The State of India's Bird Rrepor examined 867 bird species on the basis of the 10 million reports updated by the birdwatchers.
The result are a wake up call. Looking at the species for which enough data existed, more than 50% of birds are clearly in decline since 2000, and over the last five years, 79% of birds have registered declining numbers.
Most declining group include coastal birds, birds of prey (like eagles, kites, vulturs) and other habitat specialities.
India holds 90% of the critical stopover sites for birds that migrate in the Central Asian Flyway in this region. Of the assased 867 species, 101 are of high conservation concern.
For protection of birds, their habitats need to be protected. The Scrubs forests and hilly areas required conservation. Innovative ways is needed to protect these habitats.
India is party to the Convention for Biological Diversity, the United Nation-led Convention for Conserving Wildlife. The convention calls for Other Effective area-based Conservation Measures (OECM). OECM seeks conservation of wildlife in informal ways. Sacred groves, private land, community ares and institutional compuses can all form OECM.
We need thousands of School and University campuses to join hands in conserving bird habitats. Government need to make sure of updated records of birds in timely manner. In the policy initiative of Government it must involve citizens, civil society organisations in conservation of birds.

Assam's indigenous Muslims are those families whose ancestors were the followers of Ajan Fakir, the saint from Baghdad. He came here and settled during the reign of Aurangzeb, when Assam was a full-fledged sovereign Ahom kingdom.
