Lethal is a rompler that specializes in EDM sounds. LANDR asked me to give it the business and show it off, so here we are!

Well, Lethal and LANDR should be thanking you big time. None of the tracks are my taste, but you always great sounding music regardless of the style. I wish half my stuff sounded that good. lol

I remember when this vst was released about 5 years ago. It was billed as tthe "Nexus Killer" when Nexus was at the top of the EDM, Dance, and Hip-Hop production world. I bought it, but the hype around it died pretty quickly but it is a really good vst.

Jeremy great review and demo, not sure if it was in your files when you installed it but the pdf manual is inside the library folder that contains your ‘Core Library’

~ 5:30 ish, that aliasing, blegh!
If you're gonna be selling a product for $199+ there really is no excuse for this. A simple, sleazy, easy-to-implement solution would just be to do your re-pitching algorithms at double the host sample rate, put it through a lowpass filter, then sample back to the host Fs. Barely any code involved, not that resource intensive on any modern computer, and avoids all of your samples being tinged with those metallic dissonant frequencies when played up. The more elegant solution of doing your sample re-pitching at a fixed internal sample rate before filtering & sampling at the host frequency really isn't that difficult either.
This kind of mistake is forgivable for somebody giving something out for free or a few bucks... not for a company asking $199+ for a product.

I'm sitting here looking at my old EMU XL-1 turbo and thinking "Yes! Romplers are back!!"

That sold some product, your talents are worthy of far more, and that's good. A fun watch

the ultimate late 2010's mainstream edm tool
which is actually great
also romplers are just.

I must say the sounds are pretty low quality and lack definition. Many also have resonant frequencies. Basically a nice tool to sketch ideas with but to actually produce you will have to do a lot of fixing. The library seems big but soon you will realize that there are maybe just a third you would want to use and only a half of those are actually inspiring. - like with any ROMpler.

Thanks for an excellent review of this plug-in! I was just able to pick up a 2nd-hand license for the full thing with both expansion packs, so really looking forward to playing with it soon!

Was wondering if you could recommend a good source for buying good quality acapellas. I really liked how you used those in this video and then added everything else in from Lethal and I would like to do something similar but cannot seem to find a reliable source. Any tips would be appreciated.
