The Karnataka High Court has granted relief to the petitioners appealing against the Karnataka Examinations Authority's decision to not include the Pre-University Colleges (PUC) or Class XII marks from students of the 2021 batch, who repeated the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) this year in the merit score.

The judgement was passed today, September 3, at 2:30 pm, and comes as a relief to over 24,000 students who have been protesting against the KEA's decision to not give 50% weightage to PUC marks for the 2021 batch in this year's KCET score. After the results were announced, students protested at the KEA office, after which a note was issued on July 30, 2022, by the KEA stating, "As per Government Order no ED147TEC2020 dated 01/09/2021, the qualifying marks of 2021 students were not considered for CET ranking for the Academic Year 2021 and is not considered for 2022-23 as well."

Repeaters ge 2nd PUC marks consider ಮಾಡೋದಾದ್ರೆ, freshers first PUC marks consider ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ exam ಬರೆದಿಲ್ಲ.

This isn't fair, the freshers had even given the practical exams for phy and chem for pu board .. we all had spent around 2 weeks for preparing for that aswell and spent time writing records for all subjects... where as repeaters were just given marks for free...many of them have scored above 295 .. this isn't a fair decision...
Justice for freshers . Freshers must raise voice and file a petition.

Repeaters tell they were the first batch in online but for them 30 percent syllabus was reduced(both 1st and 2nd puc ) and it does not matter who were 1st or 2nd batch, even freshers studied in online for 1.5 yrs and also we had to study for our practicals which they didn't do

It's injustice for freshers. Repeaters have above 1 yr to prepare exam but freshers not have a much time to prepare exam. And we handle both board and cet exam. Some freshers don't take any coaching for cet.
