The way she sings the last chorus is insane, there’s so much terror in her voice, it gives me chills.

She’s such a good singer. All her songs have extremely deep meanings and it’s amazing how she can emphasise all of these things to make it an emotional but jaw dropping song at the same time.

2:25 This part hit me harder than a bullet. And I know some people say that as a joke, but it literally did. I could imagine a kidnapping happening right before my eyes and she literally sounds like she's trapped somewhere. I can hear it in her voice. The shakiness is unreal and I love how it adds a bit more horror to the aspect. 10/10! One of my favorite songs by far!

Tag, You're It" is about Cry Baby getting kidnapped, utilizing the children's game "tag" as a metaphor. After Cry Baby breaks up with Johnny, she is very vulnerable and alone and gets kidnapped by a "wolf". As the song begins, it is evident that the "wolf" has been watching her for a while, and sees her as the perfect victim. The "wolf" pulls up alongside Cry Baby in his car and offers her candy. The tinted windows will hide her once she’s inside. Despite the fact that she says no, he continues to pursue her and chase her through the parking lot, meaning that she's running and he's following after her. The phrase, "Tag, you're it" is a metaphor for him catching her. He finally catches up to her, pushing her down to stop her from running and covers her mouth so she cannot scream. She still screams for help, but her situation is starting to seem hopeless. She attempts to fight back by biting him, despite being incapacitated in the lyric, "little bit of poison in me, I can taste your skin in my teeth". She is taken to his basement where he is fascinated by the proof of her presence through something as simple as her breathing. As the last part of the chorus is sung her tone shifts to a more bitter and angry tone, having given up hope of being rescued. The repetition of the phrase makes it seem as if it was replaying it in her head. 🎉THIS IS WHAT I FOUND ONLINE🎉

This song has a really deep meaning, and I'm all here for it. Her vocals, the music, literally just everything is amazing- I'm so happy with how much progress she has now, like imagine if you were one of the judges who rejected her on the voice-

As a 12 year old who’s been assulted, this song hits hard. As rough or light a story is, that shits traumatizing. No matter what happens

Melanie is the best singer I know. I especially like the part when she said “eenie meanie miny mo.” It reminds me of my childhood. ❤️❤️

When I was in highschool, I was bullied physically and mentally by teachers and classmates. This song reminds me of one event I will never forget. They begged me to come to the party and then they weren't there. I was running throughout the party cuz the guy was following me keep saying I love you, I want you, etc., And nobody helped me. I had to hide and run. Nobody helped me, but they helped him to find my hiding spot. This song describes how I felt that time.

This song can be interpreted in so many ways... I know the meaning behind this song is r*pe and kidnapping but I also associate this song with my depression and my anxiety and how no matter how far you run you'll never get away from it

Edit: I dont think I've ever gotten so many likes on a comment ever! Thx so much!!

the "grabbed my hand, pushed me down, took the words right out my mouth" part reminds me of hazbin hotel with angel dust and Val.

I love this song
I know has a dark meaning but thats the thing that i like, because it represents that in a perfect way, with those lyrics and music.

This is why i love music, some of them tries to give you a message, some are a way to express a feeling, some are about something in general, its like, music and art are one of the best way to express anything.

Unpopular opinion: this is the best song in the album, it has such a deep message and is unsettling in a good way if that makes sense

The part where she says "eenie meenie miny mo" and the song being called tag you're it as if it is a "game" honestly gives me the chills since this is how most predators deal with Sexual assault as if it is a "game" it scares me how accurate some of her songs are
