Показать описание
I am a Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the sixty seventh day of the war.
Day 67: May 01
In the Kharkiv region the Ukrainian forces continue to fight with the Russians and try to push them off the region. Even though the Ukrainians have taken the village Ruska Lozova to the north of Kharkiv, it is by no means the end of the local fight because the Russians have moved to the west from the village, where they gained advantage by being at the elevation, which makes gaining control over this region much more difficult. The Ukrainian forces have also taken back several villages to the north-east of Kharkiv and are preparing to move further. The local residents of the Belgorod region in Russia start worrying about such an increased activity near the Russian borders and are afraid that there are not enough Russian troops on the defense. The distress felt by the local residents may indicate that the Russians are going to do something to show that everything is under control. One of the ways to do that is to send some forces to the that region from the Izyum direction or instead of to Izyum, which is exactly what the Ukrainians are trying to achieve.
In the north-east the Russians struggle to take the town Velyka Komyshuvakha. Despite their prior heavy artillery strikes and a massive advancement into the town, the Ukrainians are still controlling most of it. The Russians seems to be stuck as they do not have any success for several days here. In the Barvinkove direction, there are no big changes, the Russians have taken the village Dmytrovka, so the Ukrainians are awaiting them at their defense line.
A little bit to the east the Ukrainian battalion near the village Rubtzi is in a tragic situation. The Russians managed to cut off one thousand Ukrainian soldiers from the south and completely surround them. There is no way to escape because they are blocked by the river Oskil from the north. Right now they are under constant attacks and are being forced to surrender. The Russian forces have also cut off one of the escape routes from Lyman to Sloviansk and continue taking this town in circle. Their plan is to also move from the north and cut off the second escape route before attacking the town from every direction, because right now they are mainly engaging artillery and aviation.
In the east the Russians tried to move into the western part of the town that is controlled by the Ukrainians from the south, however, this is also the strongest part of their defense, therefore, heavy fights are taking place and no major changes happened here.
In the south-east the Russians continue to slowly advance in the direction of Gorlovka and Avdiivka. The defense is very strong therefore the Russians are still struggling to gain ground, however, to give the devil his due, they are eventually gaining this ground. The main task here for the Ukrainians is to make this time count, because the attacks of such intensity and so small gains are very costly for the Russians. If the Ukrainians manage to use this time wisely, be that by regrouping or supplying more machinery or something else, they can gain a strategic advantage.
In the south the Russians continue to storm the town Velyka Novosilka with their ground troops and continue to attack the towns Huliaipole and Orikhiv from the air.
In the second southern direction the intensity of the fights continues to be relative low, as both parties are regrouping and preparing for the next engagement.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, by the end of the sixty seventh day of the war the Russians had lost 192 (+2) airplanes, 155 (+0) helicopters, 1026 (+18) tanks, 2471 (+26) armored fighting vehicles, and 23 600 (+300) soldiers.
I will continue to make daily updates on the situation, so stay tuned.
