What I like about this animatic, besides Ody shooting through the axes to get to Antinous, is that Odysseus does see Antinous' face in the beginning. We see him grin for a moment in the beginning. But the moment that Odysseus hears the threats against Telemachus, Antinous' face has less human characteristics, reflecting the monster that Odysseus sees. And it only gets worse when threats against Penelope are made.

Odysseus's horrified face turning into rage is perfect, and the arrow going through the axes is my favorite part.

Hey fun fact for you guys to know. When you shoot someone in the back of their neck, it can cause permanent disability to their body because of the connection to the spinal cord. Imagine that shot didn’t kill Antinous, but instead made him unable to move while he slowly bled out. Imagine Odysseus aimed their on purpose to cause as much suffering as possible to Antinous.

I love how you've taken the scene and put into Odysseus' perspective! It adds an extra layer to his rage and ruthlessness in the next song. And of course he's the only one who can complete Penelope's challenge, it was made for him!

I love how both Odysseus and Antinous gradually lose their humanity and turn into red eyed, featureless dark sihluettes. Antinous because of what he says he'll do, Ody because of what he knows he's about to do.

I love his pov. I don't see many doing it. You can see him descending into cold hard rage with each word. And the transition of gently smiling Penelope to her crying is crushing 😭. Also, the way Ody calmly strings the bow only adds to the rage so big and strong that everything turned quite. The cold hard rage that froze the palace.

Imagine the relief of Odysseus after landing in Ithaca that he can finally meet his family then comes home to 108 men plotting like this.

You just ruined his good mood of finally coming home.

Like it went from “I can finally see them” to “WTF are this bastard planning to do?!”

Establishing Penelope's color to be light blue and then having that be the color of the cup that Antinuous is drinking from while he talks about assaulting her is genuinely a brilliant and equally as horrifying way to convey what he seeks to do with her whilst not showing the actual deed.

In this perspective, the suitors turned into the monsters and Ody remained in human form to protect his family and to survive. Defiantly makes the other monster songs even more plausible in their intent.

It is the first time in animatics that they show us more of Odysseus's reaction

I love the little details of the colors of the characters.

All the video is bright red, except for two specific moments for two specific characters, Telemacus and Penelope.

When Telemachus first appears, is bright and shiny yellow, almost white(simbolizing the youth and the inocence behind him) until the precence of the suitors turn him red.

With Penelope, she is bright white, pure, the light and the end of the suffering, but when Antinous sings about what he wanrs to do to her, something interesting happens.

When Antinous talks about Penelope, he holds a cup, a WHITE cup, which is (along Penelope) the only objetct of that color in the whole video.

Thats how Antinous sees Penelope, a good he can abuse and broke as he pleases, "share her spoils", an object.

Idk i just love the atention of the detail.

Man, I can FEEL Ody's horror and disgust and rage for what he's hearing. It's awesome seeing this in his pov, and I love seeing him shooting through the 12 axes!!
