At a time when newly unsealed filings in the Donald Trump classified documents case show photos of boxes of documents being moved around by Trump body man Walt Nauta, Trump and his self-appointed defenders in Congress and on Fox News devoted significant energy into lying about the wording of the Mar-a-Lago search warrant, suggesting President Joe Biden was trying to have Trump killed. Rep. Dan Goldman discusses with Alex Wagner.

Trump has the ability to convince himself that whatever he is saying at any given moment is true, or sort of true, or at least ought to be true."

Schwartz:, “He lied strategically. He had a complete lack of conscience about it.” Since most people are “constrained by the truth, ” Trump’s indifference to it “gave him a strange advantage.”

Schwartz: " When challenged about the facts, Trump would often double down, repeat himself, and grow belligerent."

Schwartz described a man constitutionally incapable of logic, moral reasoning or self-reflection.
