Always use a virtual machine when trying commands or at least know what it means, it could be a useless little command like dir/s or a really harmful command.

Edit: forgot to say, When running cmd as administrator, Youre giving it access to change some stuff in the machine, Which could harm your machine if not ised carefully, applies to other apps as well, Dont do something if youre not sure if its safe or not.
