To y'all complaining they didn't play their instruments, that happened with other bands too in the 1960's. The Monkees did play their own instruments on their 3rd album "Headquarters" and they also went on tour and played live in 1967. On this recording of Pleasant Valley Sunday, Michael Nesmith was on electric guitar and Peter Tork was on piano.
