As a British 16 year old in 2008 hearing conversations about 'some black guy' running for president of the United States. A country that was seen to always be racially divided. I was intrigued.. I began waiting for the news to come on each evening. (we didn't have sky and the 24 hour news cycle was still in the making).

But I remember being hooked. I remember being interested in this thing called "Politics", It wasn't something my friends or family ever really spoke about.. I was hooked and went on to study and learn as much as I could about it.. and I'm still to this day hooked.

The stars will align for Obama. The US economy sadly, what's going over which did with the financial crisis. You had George W Bush who is highly unpopular. it was just a quagmire and Obama was able to come in and easily with the election.
