YouTube Ads are getting insane…

Do you like YouTube ads? I'm gonna guess the answer is no, and I feel the same way as you. They're annoying. Very annoying.

Unless you have YouTube premium, unfortunately, the ads just keep getting worse and worse. Thanks YouTube.

Today, you and I are gonna take a look at the evolution of YouTube ads, and how over time, they've gotten absolutely ridiculous.

I remember back then YouTube videos used to have yellow marks to tell you where the ads were on the video

Remember when you used to be able to skip the entire video, start over, and all the ads would be gone because they thought you already watched them all? Good times

Funniest part is, ads actually make people actively DISLIKE whatever is being advertised. Nobody likes being force fed two entire UNSKIPPABLE ads.

It's to the point that when I see an unskippable ad I just leave and reenter the video until they don't play an ad

One thing I HATE is how when you miss click "skip ad" because you're doing something else, YouTube "punishes" you with another ad that you can't skip until at least some other 15 seconds or so.

I wish YouTube would understand that being bombarded with ads doesn't push me towards YouTube Premium, it pushes me away from the site entirely.

Multiple times, heck nearly daily by now, I've felt so fed up with adverts that I've just closed YouTube entirely to do something better with my time.

Getting ads every 5 minutes on every video on the YouTube app is what finally convinced me to switch to a browser with a built-in ad blocker

There are less ads on Porn sites than there are on Youtube, let that sink in.

If you have a smart tv or the usb stick like i do, you can get ads every other minute.
I tried to watch a 40 min video, i kept getting an ad every other minute, this is ridiculous

Youtube has gone insane. I'm old enough to remember TV with advertising, when we ran to the toilet during advertising breaks. I'm now doing that again. How retro.

I once saw an ad where literally the very first thing said was, "You can't skip this ad." I felt so disrespected that I just clicked off the video before the ad could finish. But don't worry, I came back to it eventually.

Remember that time when some guy posted on facebook about how he got a 30 second unskippable ad on a first aid video while trying to save his grandma and youtube said "oh sorry about that you should have bought youtube premium"
