Reviewing the Nomos Metro Date Power Reserve Ref 1101, a new acquisition into my personal collection. This watch also goes by the name Nomos Glashutte Metro Datum Gangreserve which is the German name of course. This watch is a breath of fresh air away from popular and common watches such as those from Rolex, the Ref 1101 takes on a very playful design that flows incredibly well with dashes of unique colour and a patented power reserve indicator function. This is one of my favourite watches in the value pick category.

I got the 180, I like the watch but It's too formal for me most of the time. I still wear it sometimes just to change things up but I now know I'm much more into sportier pieces, pilots watches, chronographs etc... things that make me look young. I also like more flashier pieces too, and this is very reserved. I still do like the piece and will never sell it, but if I could go back I probably wouldn't have chosen this one. I also made a mistake, I was going to get a blue ahoi model and then that became unavailable through nomos so I settled on the 180 and it has a much different character, and I now know I shouldn't settle on any watch I'm not going absolutely crazy over. these toys are too expensive to make mistakes. I also learned to never buy a watch that I don't try on first.
