Thanks to you guys, as a kid without cable, I was able to watch all the power rangers shows in order after missing most of them when they came out. Gone with the DVDs, but not forgotten

I've always loved the discs by mail...the vast selection compared to streaming, the freedom to take as long as I want to watch instead of a streaming rental expiring in 24 hours...I felt like crying when they announced the end, and again when I got my last disc two days ago. I'll miss this so much.

I’ve been a Netflix user since before the beginning, literally… I had the pleasure of testing the original website before it launched. I remember going through the process of creating fake orders to see if there were any hiccups or roadblocks. That opportunity is what first got me interested in testing and reviewing products and services and led me to search out opportunities to continue doing so, and now I receive products to review on a weekly basis, hundreds if not thousands since that first experience that I got with Netflix. In a way, Netflix changed my life. Sad to see the DVD service end, but glad to see Netflix live on and grow.

I became a Netflix customer in 2000 when I bought a computer and there was a free trial. “No late fees? Are you kidding?” In 2005 we were stationed overseas and had no idea Netflix also shipped to military APO’s until I saw a soldier walk out of the post office with the big red envelope. Thanks Netflix for helping me watch all the releases I couldn’t get overseas.

This whole process shown in the video is the reason I am a physical media collector. Future generations will never know what it's like to go to an establishment and pick out your 3 movies for the weekend on a Friday 😢

I am a bitter end DVD and Blu Ray renter, first at Blockbuster and then Netfix. So sad to see this era come to an end as it was the best entertainment bargain we have ever seen, or likely ever will see. Farewell Netfix DVD rentals, and well done.

Remember when I first subbed to Netflix in college and juggled the DVDs in my queue (and price was crazy cheap). Still to this day I have a collection of physical media

I never used Netflix's DVD rental service, but it looks like it was fun and I like how they kept it around for so long.

I have subscribed to Netflix DVD off and on since the beginning. Thank you for introducing me to countless off-the-wall movies that I wouldn't have seen anywhere else. I'm really sad to see you go. I just hope that the obscure movies that were offered on DVD will someday find their way to the streaming library. I'm looking forward to getting my last batch of DVDs in the mail today. We will miss you.

20 years a customer. Very sad it's over. Thanks for all the great movies!

This is why I still collect & own over 3k movies: 4K, Blu-Ray, and so many TV Show Box Sets that only got DVD releases. I will not be stuck with the poor selections or scattered movies/tv series that could be removed at any time.

Hands up everyone who was singing along to All The Small Things...

With Netflix DVD you had access to the largest movie collection on the planet…even more that I could find at my State library system.

I’ve found countless movies from their recommendations that I’d never have discovered.

Being able to watch and return at my leisure was a great perk and convenience for my busy schedule.

What proponents of streaming doesn’t realize is that your world is the smallest fraction of what Netflix DVD had to offer.

Maybe you’ll get what you want when you want it, but will also have missed out on countless chances to discover that rare gem of a movie from a few months or few decades ago.

Society has lost a great piece of history, most of whom will never realize it.

They knew what they were doing at the end when the 'thanks for watching' almost hit the corner...
The endless wait to see the corner be hit continues...

The fact that Netflix is doing a documentary on itself is an amazing development

This is such a colossal mistake. There are so very many, many, MANY movies that are unavailable anywhere except on disk that cutting this service is literally ending availability of at least 2/3rds of all movies (and TV shows) out there. Even if you only keep 2 centers open nationally, you desperately need to reconsider this action.

I'm going to dearly miss seeing the Seasonal overlays Netflix gave to those Red Envelops. I remember the Halloween and Christmas ones the most.
