I love the people that took her “meekrowavè” pronunciation seriously haha
She literally said it as a piss take as if to make microwave cooking sound glamorous

She’s just absolutely insane! Or should I say “en-saa-na-yay”

Love her sense of humor! It's like saying "Tarjay" (Target) so often that it becomes normal. Language is fun 😁

My Goddess has spoken. Henceforth and forever more it will be called the "meecro-wahvee" in the James Kitchen.

Two minute silence for all those who took it seriously 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

It's like every dad that says "tarjey" instead of target.

If you’ve spent years watching her cooking videos, her pronouncing microwave the way she did was just a moment of intimate bonding between Nigella and her long time viewers. She always jokes about something. Understandably, newer viewers would find her weird, even crazy, to say it that way, and maybe being British might have led to them thinking that. Watch her other cooking vids and you’ll understand that she’s just making a joke. Hope she gets more fans. 🥰

Only Nigella could completely gaslight the entire world. Stunned the nations at least. Kudos. Forever Nigella.

"Well, I do say it like that, but not because I think that's how it's actually pronounced" - Nigella Lawson
It all makes sense now 👍

Imagine having to set the record straight after saying a word in a mildly playful way on your own television show.

I started calling Masterchef as master-key-ph for no reason one day and now my entire family calls it that so I feel her lmaooo

The fact that her pronunciation of "Microwave" sounds convincing and satisfying to our ears.

Doesn't everyone have silly pet names for things like this. I often say I'm putting stuff in the "Wishy Dosher" (Dishwasher) or "pass the Biskwits" ( Biscuits). A family member calls Liver Sausage "Lily Savage" 😆😆

To be fair, I think a lot of people jokingly pronounce certain (usually longer) words. Like for some reason my family always said “sham-pag-nay” instead of “champagne” and its stuck with me as an adult. My mum-in-law says “fran-jip-a-nee” instead of “frangipane” - I assume it’s a joke but she’s so deadpan that I can’t tell 😂

Roses Are Red,
My name is Dave,
This Poem Makes no Sense,
*Microwave.*

Roses Are blue,
My name actually isn’t Dave,
If you are reading this,
Never use *Microwaves.*

it's like that time she said that she spent all night peeling and chopping the tomatoes and then proceded to throw canned tomatoes in the pan

Do you think that's going to be on the English oral exam from now on.

Examiner - pronounce this word, examiner points at microwave
Student - Meekrowarvy.
