Berninger's research stresses the importance of arrows and you never mention that in the introduction even though your letters have arrows. Was there a direct comparison group that did the same activities outside of a salt tray (they wrote the letter on paper instead of the in the salt) or was it compared to no direct instruction or something else? Can you direct me to the original research?

I love these boxes that the teacher can put a top on for storage. Any pointers are where to purchase? I have used trays and really didn't like them because of spilling. :)
