Kino Rec - The Swimmer (1968) #shorts

Starting a series of shorts in which I recommend cool films I like. The Swimmer, starring Burt Lancaster, is one of my favorites! Hope you like it!

This is the most memorable movie I've seen. The ending is unforgettable. There's even a young, new up and coming comic named Joan Rivers with a small part.
Just a great movie.

Beautiful film, and based on a story by John Cheever. IIrc, Cheever himself wrote the screenplay- his only such credit, and a genuine surprise given his literary style and output. Agree completely; it's a must see...

My rec: Last Summer (1969). It's Perry's lesser known but in my opinion best movie!

I love this film. First saw it when I was 13. I have a dvd of it, would prefer a better picture quality version as was a bad transfer, so will look out for that BluRay.
