Direct to consumer is the only way to get rid of the greedy dealer markups

I love the look and overall build of this vehicle. Really hopeful that we get the mini-camper version at some point. That is the type of vehicle I'd want to take to campgrounds and RV parks for a long weekend

Thanks for putting out the most detailed debut video so far. Great work! Looking forward to getting mine in a couple years.

This could sell well. But, I fear it’ll be priced way too high for sales to really fly. I sure hope I’m wrong. Thanks Kyle and your whole team. Lotsa love to all ❤❤❤

Great review! As a former 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia, 1987 Vanagon Weekender, and 1993 Eurovan Weekender owner, I love that this is coming to North America. The rear facing 2nd row chairs, fold out table, and V2L would make this an epic road trip vehicle.

Nice vehicle. Two disappointing things:1)Why does everything coming to the US have to be super-sized? We’re not all fat, after all.2) This idea of teasing the public with a vehicle years before being available is not a good idea. By the time you can buy it, the “buzz” (sorry) has worn off and public interest has moved elsewhere.

Great review. I just really wish VW would consider a larger battery pack for the US. If we assume EPA at 250-260mi...you start driving this at 70mph, add 3 or 4 passengers and some cool/cold weather the range will easily be under 200mi. Thats kind of rough for a road trip. I really think 300mi is the minimum for a road trip vehicle...

All cars should have a flexible partition net like this. Hope to see a video about how to secure the luggage in SUV’s and vans in the future. It’s hilarious that you’re not allowed to have matrix lights in the US, no table for the passengers etc, while loose items in the trunk are flying around like projectiles in the passenger compartment.

I wish they could’ve pushed it past that 300 mile range number

Thanks for saying 'North American' spec! US reviewers often forget specs can get different between US and Canada sometimes.

Also wish we were getting the short wheelbase.

I have a feeling this will be Kyle’s new “Mobile Home”.

Very nice product, I was able to play with the Euro version recently. Shame about the price, which should have been the same as the ID.4 but clearly will not be even close. $80k is just too much. When the ‘buzz’ passes, families won’t be able to afford this as a real alternative to a gas/hybrid minivan. Very sad.

Loyal Honda Element driver for the past 20 years and this is the car I've got my eye on for eventually moving over to electric and replacing it. Excited for it to make it to the US market!

What a cool car, I've seen them driving around where I live and it's the one and only electric car that I am actually excited about, it looks cool (I live in Europe) and it is cool. The fact that VW took an old iconic classic and converted it to a modern look is just so cool.

The American version of the car is even better, so hopefully it will also cascade down to Europe.

Most electric cars look just like.... cars. But this is the first one to actually create a buzz, and it's very aptly named. Great review, I've subbed, thanks.

I would add a feature to manually open and close the side windows: they slide, so moving them by hand would be faster and more convenient, at least in some situations.

That blue & white buzz brings back memories. My first "car" was a '68 VW Panel Van (no seats, upholstery or windows behind the drivers seat) in almost that exact same color scheme ... white up, blue down.

It's not North American spec until it uses the North American Charging Standard (NACS). 🙂

It appears that the ID Buzz will be coming to Australia in 2025 as well. I am wondering if the spec we will get will be closer to US or European spec. It is great to see a modern version of the classic Kombi. Great review as always Kyle!

I loved the regular wheelbase, but this is even cooler. Shame it will be even more expensive, it would be the perfect family vehicle

Why would you want bigger wheels? Other than aesthetics and maybe high speed cornering, they are less efficient and make for a harsher ride.
