This video is about Cloud9 and the situation around dropping yay, the best Valorant player in the world. They have already dropped him and Vanity, and picked up new players before they play in VCT Americas against Sentinels, LOUD, 100 Thieves and many more teams. Nobody wants the best Valorant player, but does that make C9 the worst org in Valorant Franchising? I don't think so!

Cloud9 may have handled this situation poorly, but they may have had no choice with their finances. I don't think they're a bad org, and I'm sure they'll prove that over their time in the league. Hope you guys enjoyed!

I honestly just feel bad for Yay. Imagine being claimed as one of the best players in the world last year to not being on a team this year. Cloud 9 messed up big time and this *may* cost his career.

Yay is so good that the only thing stopping him from going pro is finding an org that can afford him

Imagine being a Tier 2 player and having yay as an enemy😂

Imagine being the goat and losing your job because the org you trusted is broke 💀

We are actually in the worst timeline.

Somehow, someway the goat is not even on a team. Apparently, according to George geddes, Yay was willing to take a paycut but C9 still cut him.

DSG just signed Yay.. dropping all his team
Yay is expected to 1v5 M80, 13-0, all 69 maps

honestly... it might be more doable than his previous roster

Esports is sadly just in a really bad spot right now. Player contracts are way too high for the value they provide. C9 fucked up signing yay in the first place, and yeah dropping him suddenly is shitty but they kind of had to. Hopefully the scene is able to bounce back in the next few years

If Yay brings DSG a trophy and ascension he’ll solidify himself as the GOAT of this era

More recently it was said yay was willing to take a pay cut but they still dropped him, mad

yay was arguably the best valorant player. it is unfortunate that in this vct season, the best player would be on no team. hope yay will find a team sooner or later

so technically, all of this is because of Andrew Tate

Mel said they were offered an extension with C9W. They chose to turn it down because they wouldn’t have been allowed to compete in the challenger open qualifier.

I feel extremely sad for yay. I´t seems like he is struggling mentally after all this and no wonder why so. I hope he can get back on stage soon with a team he can enjoy playing and succeed even further. He is so talented and humble. He seems like a person who really deserves to be known.

C9 did a nasty move. Buy and lock in yay so they can drop him before the season begins so no other team would be able to pick him up.

c9’s league of legends team placing first in the spring split and qualifying for msi while their valorant team is in shambles is giving me whiplash as a c9 fan

I would honestly love to see yay in tier 2 na valorant and see him just drop like 40 kills every map

Answers to the last two questions: yes, and poorly. I also feel bad for their two new players, whom I’ve never heard of even in the tier 2 scene. They will undoubtedly underperform, and will probably get a bad rep for it. It’s like a talented high school quarterback skipping college to play in the NFL. It’s just not going to work out.

Cloud9 didnt just fk up there own year they fked up the season for all of Valorant! they literally denied all of all us YAY let alone letting him high and dry!

I can't get over the thought that they just bought yay for clout and then dropped him.
