Kafka - DoT enabler
Topaz - FUA enabler
Robin - Action advance and versatile
Ruan Mei - Versatile
Fu Xuan or Aventurine (or both) - superior sustains

All of these characters are a "must" pull for their corresponding team compositions but are not a must. But Ruan Mei is literally a must pull. She does everything and with investments you can get so much more value with her

i think i might change kafka to a preservation unit such as Fu Xuan, because of Crit Rate and Crit Damage boost and when you get her to e2, she can revive one of dead units 1 time kinda like Bailu, and she's also Cute and Funny T o T
Honorable mention will be Huohuo as a support and healer T o T

Practically the meta:

Dps for MOC and AS: Acheron, Firefly and Feixiao do not care what they're fighting, they'll destroy anything.

Dps for PF: Himeko Herta + Jing Yuan, Argenti, Jade (no need to pick more than one)

There's also Yunli who's good in all game modes.

Harmony suports: Ruan Mei, Sparkle and Robin are the holy harmony trinity, Bronya also has her own uses and harmony mc is great in break teams (Firefly)

Jiaoqiu is the best suport for other nihility based teams, so for those who enjoy the nihility mommies (Acheron, Black Swan and Kafka) he's worth picking up.

Silver Wolf is a great debuffer, she and Jiaoqiu are the fastest way to battery Acheron's ultimate, and her weakness implant is nice to have. + Her ult reduces lots of defense.

Sustains: Huo Huo for DOT teams, Aventurine for fua teams, Lingsha for break teams and Fu Xuan if you don't wanna build crit rate body on your carry. Luocha also decent, but without eidolons you cannot say he does much else aside from keeping your team alive, which all of them can do.

Top 5 best damage dealers to pull:

5. Kafka
4. pray your lost 50/50s will be Himeko and not Yanqing
3. Firefly
2. Feixiao
1. Acheron

Top 5 best suports to pull

5. Silver Wolf Honorable mentio goes
4. Jiaoqiu to Topaz who'g great
1-3. Sparkle in fua teams as a sub dps
1-3. Robin while also buffing your
1-3. Ruan Mei main carry's fuas

3. Aventurine based on your teams you
2. Fu Xuan may need one more than
1. Lingsha the ones above him

Honorable mentions go to second sustain pulls, DOT team + Jiaoqiu and Yunli.

Kafka is a bit of a questionable pick because for her to become top tier dps level, you need to have black swan (and I presume Jiaoqui will also work in BS's place). Kafka is a great enabler but there are far higher priority units if you don't actively want to spec into DoT. All that being said, the Kafka pick is only kinda questionable, her being on the list still makes sense because I mean, she's still really good when all of her conditions are met.

But, Bronya being on the list is just kinda wrong. First things first, she's been powercrept by Sparkle for like half a year at this point due to Sparkle also having an advance forward whilst being extremely SP positive. Even though she doesn't have the massive damage boost that Bronya has, she still has a big crit damage boost and, when her teammates use skill points, she just flat increases their damage. At the beginning of the game Bronya was THE support to have but now we have Ruan Mei, Sparkle, and Robin, all of which being a far higher priority than Bronya. Also, even if you wanted to pull Bronya, she doesn't have a dedicated banner, so you'd have to wait for the 300 guaranteed wish if you get unlucky. Granted, Bronya is still good, I still use her on some of my teams (mainly my Jingliu team) but putting her in the 'Top 5 Must Pull 5 Stars' is a bit much for her.

Personally I think Aventurine and Robin/Sparkle would probably fit better instead of Kafka and Bronya. Acheron, Firefly, and Ruan Mei all make complete sense however.

All of this being said, I am in no way a theory crafter in this game, so I could just be spouting nonsense rn.

Not mentioning Robin is honestly criminal Robin is the best support in the game when it comes to pure dmg Ruan Mei is more comfortable and has more utility but if you want straight up more damage and faster clears Robin is the way to go she’s the bis support for every atk scaling crit dps u can find her on almost any team and she has replaced both Ruan Mei and sparkle all of their teams outside of their respective niches I.e break and sp hungry crit dps’ I feel to many people don’t appreciate Robin

Hell, people often say the hardest part about team building in this game, is the fact you can’t have two Ruan Mei's and you have to choose which team gets her. Which is painfully true at times.

Acheron is awesome. You also can use taunts from the Preservation Trailblazer (their skill) and Yunli (whenever Yunli enters the parry state to draw enemy aggro when using ult) other than applying DoTs. If you manage to E2 Acheron, you could sub in Yunli for one of the Nihility characters instead of a Harmony unit for a self sufficient Destruction character with terrifying counters while keeping Acheron alive to continue building up and using Acheron's harder to build ult.

the only thing about Acheron is that you need 2 debuffers and not all people have good ones (Pov me Cope) Pela is good but you need a 2nd best being black swan silver wolf and kafka who haven't had a reruns in a while but I say its better to go for someone like HuoHuo cos she can work with mainly any team and can give a crap ton of Atk and can heal a bunch I also say get Sparkle basically Bronya but Also Aventurine is a must have best shielder and can be way better then Fu Xuan on many occasions especially when the enemy has massive stonks and 1 shots you Fu Xuan ain't gotta save you there but POV every Star Rail player Aventurine will :) also Aventurine stonk with Acheron
