Great video on one of the best houses in history! I own four Guerlain myself—Héritage, Habit Rouge, Mitsouko, and Shalimar. The first two are classic masculines, and although the latter two are marketed as feminine, they come off quite masculine on my skin. Shalimar, in particular, emphasizes the smoky leather and musky civet on my skin, supported by that beautiful citrus, floral, and vanilla base. I’d liken its effect to something like Dior Homme Parfum. Really a shame more men don’t give this intoxicating beauty a try!

I do think its a shame that Guerlain was sold to LVMH. And I think its no coincidence that in 1995 Guerlain released (as far as I know) their first flanker, Un Air de Samsara. Nowadays its flanker after flanker with La Petite Robe Noir, L'Homme Ideal and Shalimar. And everytime a new flanker comes on the market they continue an old one. Very inflationary. I'd rather have Guerlain as a niche house just like they were for a 150 years. And when it comes to Thierry Wasser, I think Wafts from the Loft summarized it perferctly: Thierry Wasser is a very fine perfumer, but there are very fine perfumers and there is Guerlain. There is a shimmer of hope though, a young member of the Guerlain familiy is at perfumery school right now (I forgot his name), so maybe one day the house will be back under the reign of a Guerlain.

Loved this Clemence. I've had many fragrances from Guerlain over the years, but my all time favourite that I keep buying is L'heure Bleue. I just love it 😍

My two favorite Guerlain perfumes are, Encens Mythique D’Orient (original packaging). My second favorite is Bois D’Armenie. Bois D’Armenie is the best fall, winter night perfume In my collection, It’s perfection. Clemence, Thank You so much for an amazing video.

Lovely video. Thank you for that history on Guerlain, I love their fragrances. Samsara is one of my favorites, very exotic, sensual and comforting. Tha Aqual Allegoria line is amazing!!! Mon Guerlain is another one. I wonder if there is a story behind that one?

Ooh, I've been waiting for this one. Guerlain is one of my favourite houses. You told the story beautifully.

I have some of the more obvious fragrances from their collections... Heritage, Habit Rouge, Vetiver, and the original L'Instant. But I am interested in trying Santal Royal and Bois Mysterieux, and even some of the Allegorias which I think will smell quite light but delicious.

I have enjoyed class today 😀. Looking forward to seeing you again soon X
