The World Championships should be held at the end of the season, like all other professional sports. Why is Discgolf worlds in the middle of the season?

NBA playoffs is where the champions are made.
In disc golf it's Worlds first, Majors second and DGPT standings somewhere down the line.
It's not a length issue, it's a format issue.

I’d be down for the end of the season if the coverage wasn’t such a hot mess and DGPT wasn’t all over the place. Also having worlds not be the cap of the season is also a missed opportunity.

Worlds is a superbowl size event, is it at the end? No. Anyone that wins worlds should have the title for the entire season start to finish, another reason to put worlds at the end

I know that I don't watch as much coverage because I refuse to pay to watch. Also I wasn't a big fan of the music choice for jomez this season, I know that's my opinion but it did make it hard for me to sit through. Although I still watch the mic'd up practice rounds and the otb skins matches. Honestly this season hasn't really had anything to keep the non you tube plus subscription people engaged. When I learned to play disc golf back in '99 people were still calling it a game and I truly feel that the roots of this "fringe sport" are being lost to capitalism. I understand that the competitors should have a reason to sacrifice their time and energy beyond just the love of the sport, but maybe make it a little bit easier for a guy like me to sit back and watch some quality free coverage, I'll even sit through the in episode ads for whatever sponsors you have. Instead it's starting to feel a bit like a bid to dominate an emerging market. Disc golf has been amazing to learn and love, Thank you for helping it along.

Brodie is spot on. The tour needs to drive viewers to the playoffs.
IMO the season is too long. Less events with bigger purses. 6 months max. Anything over that is watered down.

Nobody is disinterested, however like myself, they may have just taken up with playing locally and immersing themselves locally main reason is Disc Golf pro tour charging a pretty penny for the subscriptions, especially when it comes to watching the finals I think they’re growing pains are going to cost them exorbitantly

We get to watch the best players in the world play against each other week in and week out. That doesn’t happen in most other sports, nba, nfl, mbl, etc. it’s easy to shut it out when the best team is playing the worst… that NEVER happens in disc golf

You can thank DGPT for their nonsense. Not really growing the sport imo when viewing is behind a pay wall. Leave it to the pros at Jomez and just stick to managing the tour. You can’t do everything.
