Watching Baraka, then Samsara and then Koyaanisqatsi all at once, on 600 micrograms of acid, was the highest form of media entertainment. More than just movies. And i'm not a regular psychedelics taker anymore either, plus the movie when watched sober can come across as pretentious at times, let's not kid, but the overall experience is nothing i've thought possible through a movie alone, definitely recommend!

I do wish Koyanisqaatsi could be released in a 4K HDR format in its original analog-IMAX 4:3 full frame aspect ratio. The only version of the full-frame scan I have is from NTSC Laserdisc. No home video release comes close to the original IMAX experience - visually or aurally. A hi-def re-release is long overdue.

How would someone even get the light to reflect like this, so as to make the place be mirrored? Do you just wait for it to get really hot outside and then record the object from a distance? Is it the latter in some sort of reflection?

I find the shot of the planes to be incredibly moving and creative. I want to know how to do something like this.
