Nord Stage2 Synth

This honestly isn't the best demo. I bought this keyboard and was shocked by how fat the synth section is. It's got some limited features but it's more than enough for most people (the dedicated knobs still make it a lot of fun for tweakers) and man does it sound beautiful for what it is! Almost analogue. He doesn't even touch the Mod envelopes. The LFO in this is really cool because it can control both the Osc shape knob and the filter and can be a square, saw, or triangle, wave. And when you use the multi-osc function at the top right hand and the throw some chorus on for stereo spread, this thing sounds massive.

Cool...  To me, it seems the synth section appears more for pads and comps with some big sounds there. Would be nice to hear more mono type leads sounds that are fat, creamy, or cut...

i have it and the synth part is powerfull, based on nordwave with only one oscillator but it's huge !

hey there great vid! just wondering since i haven't had my chance to get my hands on one, when you use the samples uploaded from the nord library (like the moog or prophet samples) are you able to change the parameters for those samples? like would you be able to do some filter sweeps by changing the cutoff? thanks

I thought the whole point of WAVETABLES was that you could sweep across the waveform, like in Massive?

Hi there! Thank you for this fantastic video! I have a Nord Stage 2, it actually belonged to a friend of mine before. I’ve been having this issue that no one has been able to help me solve... when I’m playing the normal piano function it’s fine, but when I add in the synth function, the synth plays along with the piano but 2 semitones below the note I’m playing. I have no idea how to fix this, do you have any idea?? Thank you!!

I seriously looked at the stage 2 but the synth section lets it down for me.

From videos and live observation I can only say Nord feels like they do some things very well.  The synth section has always been questionable for me though...like they took the idea of what a synth should sound like and sucked the life and soul out of it.  For an all in one though I guess you can't expect it all.

It sounds awful to my ears. Cold, digital, thin and shrill.
