Martin Z. Bazant, E. G. Roos was the winner of the 2018 Andreas Acrivos Award for Professional Progress in Chemical Engineering. Bazant is Professor of Chemical Engineering and Mathematics and Executive Officer of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This year he presented the 2019 Andreas Acrivos Award for Professional Progress in Chemical Engineering Lecture titled "Control of interfacial stability in electrochemical systems."

In the video above, he discusses the importance of electrochemical systems, and various ways to control the stability of electrochemical interfaces with Orlin Velev, winner of the 2017 Andreas Acrivos Award for Professional Progress in Chemical Engineering and the S. Frank and Doris Culberson Distinguished Professor at North Carolina State University.
