I worked with a guy who once wired up his home built helicopter like this. It was an absolute work of art. You could trace wires end to end from across the room, the bundling was so perfect and pleasing. I asked him what he does when he needs to troubleshoot or there is a wiring error. He said that he just takes his time and fixes it. Mad respect for the craft. Wires can be art.

I always assumed these were done with a jig or something. Can't believe it's all by hand. It really is art at this point

The way the wires looks makes it look like a video game asset and I honestly love that

You should get a pair of wire bending pliers! They are curved on all sides instead of having a flat side with sharp corners and doesn't pinch the insulation as much

1st. You need solid core wire NOT stranded wire.
2nd. You need plenty of time on your hands (get a watch)
3rd. You need moderate to severe OCD.

As an electrician, I can appreciate the attention to detail. All my boxes are arranged like this. It shows pride in your work and when troubleshooting/repairing, makes life easier.
Well done, sir.

Being a perfectionist isn't a talent you acquired. It's a way of life.

I used to do this back in 1984 with telephone wire (same as cat6 wire now). Thinner and stripy but in those days there was no audience: nobody cared! Making PCBs back then wasn't something a private person could do unless the PCB was trivial and they liked a house full of etching chemicals. Mine were Z80 boards - just to get a useful processor involved connecting it's ROM, RAM, Timing, GPIO, ASICS etc. It's mad that Z80s were produced until June 2024!
How times have changed! 😅

Seeing those wires so cleanly laid out and hearing the music playing over it is so insanely relaxing to The 'Tism, I can't even properly describe it.

As someone who has spent years as an electrical and controls technician, this kind of wiring makes me so happy.

You only get to see it, and not always, with brand new equipment... and it only takes about 2 breakdowns or modifications for things to go south FAST.

For me, there's nothing more satisfying and calming to look at than immaculate wiring. Well done, sir.

I feel like being in heaven watching this perfection. I have never seen something more beautiful than this. This is not just soldering wires, it's pure art.

I am an Electrical Design Engineer and Licensed Electrician. I love a good wire job. I used to train guys and teach them to look at it like an art when they wire a board, a panel, an equipment rack or just dressing in the wire way.
