About 4 months ago today, I used to think anime was childish and just cartoons for kids. A friend recommended this film to me and it ended up being the first anime I've ever seen. Man was I glad that this was the first. I can't seem to live without anime now.

Walking around Tokyo and listening to this song is just so magical. It transports you time a different place, time, something so familiar yet so far away. Makes you miss someone you’ve never met, or maybe you have? Kimi no na wa was beautiful.

Saw Tenki no Ko on release day and while it’s not as profound, the visuals you’ve come to know and love from shinkai are all present as well as a God tier OST. Currently have the top MAL review for it.
