KAUNAS LITHUANIA - Tourist guide

I had the opportunity to visit Kaunas in Lithuania, albeit only for a short amount of time, but I jumped at chance! Kaunas is Lithuania's second largest city, and it's where I started my journey on exploring the country. I arrived late at night on a coach from Warsaw, so woke up early the following day to explore this beautiful city.

Unfortunately both the weather and the attractions were not on our side as a lot were closed due to either holiday/lunch/weather but I was sure to make the most of the time I had. I will definitely be returning in the near future to see more of this great city. Remember to tune in again soon for the Vilnius segment of this trip!

My grandmother on my birth father's side was born in Kaunas. I was adopted from Poland.

Kaunas city is under heavy constructions this year, and while its good thing for the city i doubt many tourists or people just passing by Kaunas will be very attracted to construction sites, loud noises and clouds of dust (well that was summers thing). If we add that we have very distinct seasons (Autumn sucks its cold and its rainy) its even worse experience for people visiting.

Never rent a car from Avis Budget at Kaunas Airport .They look for any minor scratch on the return car and overcharge you over the max stealing money from you. Rip off. Also they will charge you renting a car from a different country while you renting a car in Lithuania. If it happens to you get in touch with your Consulate in Kaunas immediately

I have been in Lithuania in Vilnius i like the place it is a beatiful country!!! But the people are not that good they are not so friendli most of them are so arogant!!! But the country is beatiful
